You'll need a laptop, tablet, or phone with internet.

• We can do rock, blues, jazz, bluegrass, or any song you choose.

• Acoustic, electric, and classical guitars are all good.

Which level fits you?

Starting From Scratch 

No experience needed. Learn tab, basic chords, and strumming to start playing right after your first lesson.

Beginner 

You've been practicing for months or years but you're still feeling stuck and you're frustrated with confusing YouTube videos. We’ll clean up your guitar basics and get you back on track. You'll start learning songs, strumming, and soloing with scales.

Intermediate 

You know the basics and a maybe a few songs, but you struggle with clunky strumming, weak soloing, and too many wrong notes. Your blues isn't very bluesy and you're still confused about song keys. We’ll fix all of these issues and start heading toward the advanced levels.

Advanced 

You know the notes on the fretboard, chords, some modes or scales, but you're still in a rut with weak soloing, wrong notes, theory issues, bad blues, jazz confusion, and repetitive strumming. I’ll help you solve all of these issues.

I’m Dan Dresnok — author of multiple guitar method books and guitar teacher of 30+ years.  I’ve taught over 50,000 students both online and in-person, specializing in jazz, blues, rock, and music theory.

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

• Are online guitar lessons as good as in-person? Yes, in fact, they're much better. There's no driving, illness, family, or pet distractions — we can focus completely on guitar.

• What video chat program do we use? We'll use Google Meet.

• How do I (the student) receive lesson materials (tabs, songs, chords)? I (Dan) will email lesson PDFs to you during our lessons.

• How do we communicate between lessons? Students can text or call me anytime.

• How does the payment work? Pay-as-you-go via Zelle or PayPal. 

• How long is each lesson? Each lesson is one-hour long.

• What days are available for lessons? I teach every weekday - M-F. Contact me for current openings.

• Where are you located, Dan? I'm based north of Atlanta, GA (EST), but I teach students online all across the US.
